Downtown Menomonee Falls grows again with addition of Babe Beauty Co. and Forte Films + Skills
Small businesses keep coming to downtown Menomonee Falls.
In fact, with all the business coming, Glasgow said he considers the Menomonee Falls downtown one of the best in Wisconsin.
The most recent new businesses are Babe Beauty Co., N89 W16416 Main St., which provides hairstyling and makeup services; and Forte Films + Skills, N88 W16475 Main St. , which provides photography and videography.
“The location was beautiful, and when we saw the space that was offered to us, it was the perfect size. We have only loved our decision even more since because the BID office has been nothing but amazing in involving us and helping to market our new business,” said co-owner Talia Kaspar of Babe Beauty Co. “We also loved all the food and drink and shopping options right by us.”
She said also that the BID was especially helpful.

“They shared our posts on social media, they also invited us to join meetings and stayed in the loop and had a say on the happenings in the downtown area,” said Kaspar.
Kaspar and her co-owner, Erin Emerich, have more than 20 years of combined experience working in the industry. “We founded this company in order to bring together our expert knowledge so we could serve our guests with even great success. Our focus is on making getting ready for the aisle walk as luxurious and magical as possible,” Kaspar said.
Kaspar said Babe Beauty Co. services include eyelash extensions, airbrush makeup, hair styling, coloring and cutting. “Our service menu is available for any and everyone, not just brides,” she said.
Forte Films + Stills offers portrait photography services for families, weddings and high school seniors, said owner Matt Werre. It also does wedding videography, he added.
“All our work is focused on showing real connection and real emotion using great lighting and composition techniques,” he explained.
He said that when an appropriate place opened in downtown Menomonee Falls, he jumped at the chance
“Over the last few years, I’ve really grown to love the Menomonee Falls area. I have shot portrait sessions in the parks here frequently and also had a few photographer friends that live in the area,” said Werre. “We love being close to the city, but still have the small-town community feel.”
Other new businesses that recently located in downtown Menomonee Falls include Midvintec, a mid-century vintage furniture store and Top Shelf Wellness and Beauty. Rustic Rehabs and Lucky One Baking Co. recently expanded there, as well
“Our downtown has been experiencing unprecedented growth and revitalization that continues to attract new businesses,” Glasgow said.” This has been the goal of our master development plan for quite some time.
“It is a well-established and proven fact that a strong downtown area is critical to a strong and successful community, and the essence of community itself, providing an area for residents and visitors to come together. Nowhere has this been more evident than at our Village Park activities, restaurants and downtown businesses.”
Glasgow added, “In the last several years, the energy and excitement in the downtown area have grown exponentially. And the increased amount of traffic, as a result of the new businesses, the village park concerts and activities, and residential growth have created a spillover effect to the benefit of all.”
